The whole restaurant

Our three dining spaces are yours for the night, for up to 60 guests. Ideal for holiday parties, rehearsal dinners and company gatherings.

How it works

Custom, start to finish

1

Tell us about it

Your date, your guests, the feel you're after and what's comfortable to spend. A few taps, no commitment.

2

We design it

Within 72 hours, our events coordinator sends a proposal with a menu built for your group and your budget, not a one-size package.

3

You enjoy it

Fine-tune anything you like, confirm, and show up. We handle the menu, the service and the details.

The food

Flavors from around the world, made in Custer

Skogen is a chef-driven kitchen. Chef Joseph and Eliza Raney brought their experience from Southern California to the Black Hills, and every party menu is written for the group in front of us. We are a seed-oil-free kitchen: everything is cooked in butter, tallow, olive oil or avocado oil.

Choose a plated multi-course dinner where everyone is served together, or let guests pick from a short menu selected from our dinner menu.

A taste of the current menu
  • Lobster Steam Bunshollandaise, green onions, lemon
  • Roasted Foie Graspancake, barrel-aged maple, lingonberry
  • Endive Saladshropshire blue, marcona almonds, pear
  • Duck Confitwhite bean, yuzu, brussels sprouts
  • Filet Mignonpotato au gratin, sauce meunière
  • Dimock Butter Cakecaramel, popcorn ice cream

Our menu changes with the seasons. Your proposal is built from what's best when you dine.

Wine & beer

Order from our beer and wine list as you go, add a wine pairing chosen for each course, or bring a special bottle of your own (corkage applies).

Every season

Holiday parties and winter dinners, spring showers and graduations, summer celebrations and rehearsal dinners. Tell us what you're celebrating.

Winter weeknights

Tuesday–Thursday, November through March

Private dinners on winter weeknights come with special perks. Mention a winter weeknight date and our events coordinator will include them in your proposal.

Tell us what you have in mind

Nothing here is a commitment. The more you share, the better your first proposal will fit.

Step 1 of 5

The occasion

What are we celebrating, and when?

What's the occasion?
How set is the date?

The dinner

Help us picture the evening.

How would you like dinner served?
What kind of experience feels right?

This helps us design a first menu that fits, so there are no surprises. Every level is fully custom.

Budget

Whether it's a company budget or a no-limits celebration, this lets us build the right menu the first time.

Need an invoice?
How set is the budget?
Your budget should cover

Per guest or a total, whatever is easiest. We'll design around it.
